ABOUT

The Side Project is a saxophone quartet from Brooklyn, New York, that plays funky original arrangements of popular songs. The band, in its instrumentation is a classic Saxophone Quartet: Baritone, Tenor, Alto and Soprano, and often joined with a drummer.

Called up by Éyal, the members of the band met for the first time underground, in the Bedford L stop, where they spent a few hours experimenting with different arrangements for songs by Beyoncé, the Spice Girls, Lauryn Hill and Michael Jackson.

Since then, they have been attracting serious attention in social medias, playing regularly in different station all over NYC as part of the Music Under New-York community, as well as prestigious venues such as the Brooklyn-Bowl, the Art Institute of NYC, and many others.

The Side Project has just released their first album, ‘#ThisPartySax’ under the label ‘Rabbit Rabbit Rabbit’ – a live studio recording documenting their time spent together in the subway underground.
